The Anderson Companies are firmly committed to giving back to our local community and are honored to assist many local charities.

American Cancer Society

Anderson Propane Service has been a flagship sponsor for the American Cancer Society (ACS), and the ACS has worked relentlessly to save lives and create a world with less cancer for over 100 years. Together with millions of supporters worldwide, the ACS helps people get well and stay well, find cures, and fight back against cancer. We were also proud sponsors of the Fredericksburg Making Strides Against Breast Cancer in 2012, 2013 and 2014.  Making Strides Against Breast Cancer (MSABC) is investing more in groundbreaking breast cancer research to better understand, prevent, find, and treat the disease.  They are in every community providing free, comprehensive information and support to people affected by breast cancer, when and where they need it. MSABC is helping people take steps to reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early when it is most treatable. We hope that all of our friends, family and customers will join us in continuing the journey to end cancer.

Anderson Companies Annual Golf Classic

We have raised monies for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Fredericksburg, Capital Caring of Fredericksburg as well as Micah Ecumenical Ministries in our 2017 classic. Micah is a Christ-centered community supporting people experiencing chronic homelessness and identifying pathways to sustainable housing. The chronically homeless often face barriers such as mental health, disabilities, substance abuse, and loss of supportive relationships. These barriers limit their access to assistance resources. The ministry at Micah seeks to overcome such barriers by bringing the community together in a holistic approach that serves all of our neighbors’ needs.

Habitat for Humanity

Anderson Propane Service has joined the Virginia Propane Gas Association (VAPGA) in volunteering with Habitat for Humanity building homes for those in need. Our very own Senior Vice President, Nicole Sullivan Cameli, is currently the Chair for the VAPGA Membership Committee and on the Board for VAPGA.

We help other organizations important to our employees, customers, and friends alike.

Nicole is currently on the Board for the Fredericksburg SPCA which is a non-profit, No-Kill humane organization dedicated to humane care and education.  Their mission is to tackle the problem of pet overpopulation through education, adoption, rehabilitation and spay/neuter. This organization saves the lives of many homeless animals each year and cares for approximately 400 cats and dogs daily.  We look forward to this continued relationship and all the wonderful tail wags and purrs it will bring. We help other organizations important to our employees, customers, and friends alike.  We have provided monetary and material donations as well as time to a range of organizations such as Friends of the Rappahannock, Loisann’s Hope House and Young Life Fredericksburg to our local Ruritan clubs and the 4-H.
