The 2017 Anderson Golf Classic was a success!
The rain held off, making it a beautiful day to host our 4th Annual Anderson Golf Classic at the Fredericksburg Country Club on June 16th, 2017. The day started off with registration and breakfast. After breakfast, tee off was right on time, with the tournament finishing up around 1 pm. Golfers enjoyed a delicious BBQ lunch during the awards and raffle ceremony.
Awards were given to the longest drive at several holes which were sponsored by some of our guests. There were a few fun competitions at this year's classic, because who doesn't like a little friendly competition? The winners lucked out with this year's prizes! Prizes included a portable grill, wine gift baskets, golfing equipment, and a Large Big Green Egg with EGGcessories! At the end of the ceremony, awards for the top three teams were presented followed by a gracious speech made by Mark Anderson.

All of the proceeds for this year's Classic are being donated to Micah Ecumenical Ministries. Micah is a Christ-centered community supporting people experiencing chronic homelessness and identifying pathways to sustainable housing.
The ministry at Micah seeks to provide access to assistance resources for the many obstacles that the chronically homeless face. Advocates from Micah attended to bring awareness to Micah's mission and their vision for the future with participants.
We are incredibly appreciative for all of the generous donations. Not only did our participants donate when joining the event, but they participated in our raffles, purchased event polo shirts, donated gifts for the award ceremony, and some even returned their prizes for proceeds to be awarded back to Micah.
